Each year on March 31, the world observes Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) to raise awareness about transgender people
*TDOV is a day to celebrate the lives and contributions of trans people, while also drawing attention to the poverty, discrimination, and violence the community faces Only about 20% of Americans say they personally know someone who’s transgender.
It is crucial that we support the trans people in our lives and this pageant is designed to highlight their unique beauty and talents
Normally around this time of year, we would be hosting our annual Meals for Christmas; this year, we are taking a different approach to the current needs of our community we need us most. While we know theirs pain and doubt about the housing eviction moratorium this year, and unemployment benefits ended, leaving millions stranded while the Coronavirus Pandemic rages on. We are combating theses issues at the ground level with the people we sever daily, while they are striving to be themselves.
We’re challenging our strongest supporters to become Angel Donors this year by supporting black, and brown TGNC identified individuals in their current transition during the holiday season. we are seeking to reach our goal of $20,000 to serve 25 TGNC identified individuals with affirming gift cards during this holiday season.
